“Ragfinery’s volunteer opportunities are fabulous experiences for a wide variety of individuals. I have the pleasure of working with Ragfinery throughout the last 5 years or so. I’ve observed multiple volunteers with Ragfinery working in many capacities over the years. Ragfinery excels at collaborating with community partners seeking vocational or volunteer opportunities. There are plenty of tasks for volunteers to learn the needed transferrable skills to help them succeed in further endeavors. Each and every staff member is patient, accommodating, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. As an employment specialist in Whatcom County, I find Ragfinery’s collaboration to be an instrumental community staple providing pathways for increased opportunities to community members who may otherwise not have a similar opportunity. If you get the chance to work with them, it might just change your life!

“I volunteered at Ragfinery for 6 months. I learned helpful retail skills like sorting, stocking, and cleaning. My favorite thing about volunteering at Ragfinery was getting to know their staff. Staff at Ragfinery are diverse, accepting, and open to all kinds of volunteers. They helped me learn how to manage my emotions at work and professionally socialize with customers and coworkers. Volunteering at Ragfinery helped me on my path to getting my first paid job.”
